4An AIC Must!Jul 19, 2010
I am not an "unplugged" fan....especially of rock music....it's the waling of guitars and volume that rocks....but, I'd have to say that this band, this album, is a must! It is my one and only unplugged album of any band, and i can listen to it over and over and over.

You can NOT go wrong if you are looking at this album!

5DVD is a true giftJun 26, 2010
This set is truly a gift to all Alice in Chains fans (and even for those who may not be fans). MTV Unplugged has managed to create an awesome, intimate setting for the legacy of this band. To be able to see Layne, Jerry, Mike & Sean playing & singing with such vulnerability and passion does bring emotion to the viewer/listener. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who enjoys acoustic performances. Forget the depressing, brooding lyrics if you must & just enjoy the voices and the music. Unfortunately, I have become a fan of AIC later in my life (I was raising young children in the '90's. Music in my house consisted of Barney & Disney songs!) But how fortunate I am, now in my 50's,to be able to watch this DVD & listen to the songs of AIC. I was raised on '70's music & am a fan of very few bands from the 80's on. But AIC has captured my musical heart. I have totally & completely fallen in love with them. Their story is tortured, gut wrenching & poignant & that is also their music. I feel blessed to have this as part of my collection. RIP dear Layne, you are missed. Best of luck with AIC as they have begun their new phase.

4Alice In Chains was incredible! This album ROCKS!Feb 21, 2010
This is a must have for any serious AIC fan. I saw these guys at Lollapalooza in Dallas in the 90's. It was my first mosh pit; I got stomped, kicked, beat up and bruised and I knew I had just witnessed a great performance. I got to stand up close next to the stage, and I loved it! This unplugged album really sounds right. It makes me feel 19 and immortal again.

5Great BandDec 12, 2009
This is great, just like Nirvana Live in New York. Buy it and Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5Love this CDDec 03, 2009
An absolutely powerful performance by Alice in Chains during their 1996 Unplugged session. As always Layne Staley drives the emotion of the band with his unique voice with Jerry Cantrell's optimal lyrics. Have not been able to put this CD down since I ordered it. Will never get tired of this performance. Absolutely a brilliant work by Alice.
