While rock & roll flamboyance stretched back at least as far as Little Richard, Freddie Mercury continued to camp it up, taking little seriously and smirking at the music's growing pretensions while partaking in them no small bit. Many of the band's singles hold up extremely well, later tracks such as "Hammer to Fall" as much as prime-era numbers such as "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Killer Queen," and "You're My Best Friend." The quartet's canny sense of melody and sophisticated vocal harmonies--not to mention Mercury's raised eyebrow--have traveled well through the years. --Rickey Wright | | | Product Details: | | | Audio CD Release Date:

QUEEN NO OTHER LIKE THEMJul 20, 2010 A group that was years ahead of it's time. This is the ultimate Queen CD. They simply are the best and I look at them as the "beatles" of the 70's and 80's.
queen cdJul 19, 2010 My husband was looking for this cd for a while . Finally we found it
delivery was quick!!
How did I miss these guys?Jun 21, 2010 I don't know how I missed out on these guys when they were popular but it's probably a good thing - I'd have moved to England and become a Freddy Mercury groupie. Man, what an incredible talent! The voice, the emotion, the music itself. This is just amazing!
Greatest Hits indeed!Feb 22, 2010 This is a great collection of some of the best Queen songs ever. I purchased this for a 13-year-old who is newly becoming acquainted with Queen, and now it's all she listens to. The insert booklet has some really good inside information about the songs and the albums they were taken from. The only thing that would have made it better is if the words were included.
The perfect Queen SetFeb 19, 2010 The perfect Queen set for the begginner. you don't need hits 3...The first 2 is all you need.....If you love this package then the real fun begins....Start exploring the studio albums, like "A night at the opera" "sheer heart attack" for the classic rock side of things, and "the Game' for the pop side of the band. If all goes well with those than pick up the fan favorite "Queen2." for the begginners.....I hope you have as much fun exploring this great band than I had years ago.
