Best Album of the decadeMar 09, 2010 Best country album of the decade!! I'm not a huge country music fan but i know good music when i hear it. Love every song on the album. It's a must buy!!
Hootie in the CountryFeb 08, 2010 Darius Rucker is super interesting. The music is great, but seems merely recycled Hootie and the Blowfish material played with "country" instruments (fiddles and steel guitar). Anyway, as good and inoffensive as the Hootie songs were, and better than most other offerings from the CMA.
Rucker's reviewFeb 01, 2010 Darius Rucker's first country album is great!! If he is this successful with this cd, I can only imagine how is next one will be.
He can sing country too!Feb 01, 2010 When I first heard "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" on the radio, I thought to myself, gosh, that sounds like Darius Rucker, but it can't be . . . this is a country station. Sure enough, there is no mistaking his voice. I am a fan of his vocals with Hootie, and I love country music. So perhaps it was only natural that I would love this CD too. All the songs are good--I wouldn't classify anything on here as "filler." My favorites are "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," "History in the Making," "Forever Road," "Alright," and "It Won't Be Like This for Long." I don't think you will be disappointed. I can't wait for his next release!
